Garters on NBC’s Today Show Throws a Wedding

It is a big day in The Garter Girl’s world! My stylish wedding garters were featured on NBC’s Today Show, complete with Kathie Lee Gifford putting one on! Watch the video below or here…

Nick and Leah were married this morning on the annual NBC’s Today Show Throws a Wedding. To help celebrate the big event, I made three custom wedding garters for Today Show hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb.

I hand embroidered the Today Show logo on the first garter. It is white satin with an orange grosgrain stripe. I tried to match the style and color combo on the Today Show website…

The next custom garter was made for Kathie Lee Gifford with her initials “klg” hand embroidered.  It is white grosgrain with a blue and white polka dot stripe.  I wasn’t quite sure what to do for her, so I designed something that was fun…

The last custom garter was for Hoda Kotb. I designed this garter one to match their website header. I think it is really neat with the navy grosgrain and hot pink feathered satin stripe. I hand embroidered hoda’s name on it to match the font on the website.

It was so great to make these garters and to be a part of the action. I wish Nick and Leah nothing but the best!  Special thanks to Kathie Lee and Hoda for having fun with my stylish wedding garters!
