Custom Garter Spotlight: Made from the Mother’s Dress

it is the lucky number 13 in the wedding garter spotlight series and this wedding garter i’m so honored and excited to share. (well, i’m always honored/excited to share my custom wedding garter orders!) a friend of the bride came to me with a piece of the bride’s mother’s wedding dress. the little scrap itself was so beautiful and delicate i hated to cut it. i literally had to turn my head the the other way as a i snipped it. here is what i came up with…

this wedding garter was a gift to the bride from one of her bridesmaids, so it has a chocolate brown satin bow in the middle to match the color of the bridesmaids’ dresses. the wedding garter is an ivory satin background with the vintage ivory lace from the bride’s mother’s dress on the top. it is 2 inches wide.
