July 15 to October 15: Garter Girl on Maternity Leave
To all potential clients and brides in need of a stylish wedding garter…I’m having a baby in early August and I need some time to take care of my growing little family! The Garter Girl by Julianne Smith will be closed from from July 15, 2010 to October 15, 2010.
UPDATE – I am extending my maternity leave until December 1, 2010. Please read for more info.
What does this mean?
I will not be processing orders or making wedding garters from July 15th to October 15th. That’s right, I’m taking a break! If you’d like to place an order for a garter from my collection or send me a note about a custom design, you are welcome to do so. I will be processing and producing all orders in the order in which they were received after October 15th. This means that if you’ve placed an order between July 15th and October 15th, I will be in touch with you after October 15th to confirm your order and provide you with a status update on production. It will take me a few weeks after October 15th to produce orders and ship garters. As always, I’d love to make a wedding garter for you, so I look forward to many requests in my Inbox when I return!
Contacting The Garter Girl
The best way to contact me during my maternity leave is via e-mail. Phone calls will be hard for me to return, so please send an email. I will be checking and responding to e-mails sporadically. Please be patient if it takes me a bit to get back to you.
But, I need a garter!
I encourage August, September and early October brides or those in need of a wedding garter during this time to check out my Etsy page. I’ve worked over the summer to clear out my stash and post unique wedding garters that are ready to ship. Orders placed for any of the garters on my Etsy page will be shipped out every Monday during July 15th to October 15th. All of the garters on my Etsy page are one-of-a-kind designs!
Custom Designs
If you’d like a custom wedding garter design and your wedding is after late October, please send me an email. I will be responding to all requests after October 15th. Please be sure to include your wedding date and as much information as you can about your custom wedding garter design request, i.e. color choices, similar styles in my collection, or custom designs in my gallery that you like or don’t like. I look forward to making your custom, stylish wedding garter!
Your blog is still going?
I will be keeping my blog up-to-date during my maternity leave. It might look like I’m around because my blog will be updated frequently, but alas I will be taking a break. I’ve been able to schedule some posts ahead of time!
