  • My fiance is currently in the navy and I was looking online for a red white and blue garter to surprise him when I stumbled across the garter girl. She custom made me a garter with matching toss garter that was exactly what I was looking for! I cannot wait to wear it and I know it will make our big day a little more special!

  • I recently received my custom garter from The Garter Girl for our June 2012 wedding, and it couldn’t be more perfect! Because of the nature of my dress, the larger lace garters I liked would have been too bulky under the dress. When I emailed Juli some specific requests about how I wanted the garter to look, she not only accommodated each one, but also offered awesome suggestions to make it unique. The garter-making experience with Juli was effortless and fun, and the end-product is of top-notch quality. And so pretty! Thanks for helping add that special touch to my wedding, Juli!!

  • I received my garter and I absolutely love it. Julianne did such a wonderful job. I chose the ivory and blue garter for my something blue. Compliments to Julianne!

  • I was searching for fun ways to I corporate my husband’s love of the superman comics and movies into our November 2011 wedding and I stumbled across the Garter Girl website. I saw that she had made a superman garter before and I fell in love with the idea!! She agreed to make the same garter for me and also stitched our wedding date into the inside of the garter. She was super nice and accommodating and had no issue shipping to me in the UK. My husband’s face when he saw the garter was priceless and I’m so grateful to Juli for helping make that happen :-)

  • I had a customer garter made for my June 2011 wedding. When I first began looking at garters I just couldn’t find any that really suited what I was looking for. I wanted something special and unique and I quickly figured out that I wasn’t going to find that on any old website. When I came across http://www.thegartergirl.com I immediately knew that Julianne would be able to make that special garter that I was wanting. She was wonderful to work with and made sure she knew exactly what I wanted. She seemed to get just as excited about my personalized garter as I was – it’s nice to know someone cares about the work they do and the brides that they serve. Everyone’s wedding is a special day and Julianne treats it as such and makes you feel as though you’ve known her for years and she can’t wait to be a part of that day. While a garter is a small detail in the grand scheme of a wedding, it’s a detail that shouldn’t be overlooked in any way. It should reflect your personality and style and make the few people that see it say, “wow!” Julianne will give you just that and she will make you feel like you’re the most important bride in the world on your special day – not just another customer.

I would highly recommend The Garter Girl to anyone looking for “not just another” garter. You can spend a little extra money and get something that you create (including embroidery if you wish!) or get one of Julianne’s garters for brides on a tighter budget. She really has something for everyone! Thanks again Julianne!

  • I was fortunate enough to find The Garter Girl just a couple of short weeks before she was on maternity leave last summer. I was Maid of Honor for my best friends wedding and determined and frustrated trying to find a blue garter for her ’something blue’ and was struggling to find something high quality and of a certain tastefulness (read – NOT tacky!) and this was it! She was happy to fit me in to the schedule and get an absolutely perfect garter and tosser just in time to me before she welcomed a new bundle of joy. I would recommend Julianne to anyone; she was an absolute doll to work with and knows her stuff – garters and wedding traditions, etc. alike!

  • My Maid of Honor purchased my garter for my wedding from The Garter Girl and I loved it SO much that I knew with my cousin’s upcoming wedding, that she must have one too. My cousin’s wedding has a royal blue theme, so I contacted Julianne to make a garter with a royal blue ribbon and it turned out fabulous! Julianne was so easy to work with. I definitely recommend her to everyone and I will be back, as well! Thank you for everything, Julianne!

  • The Garter Girl is so amazing! I was so thrilled with the finished product after any months of emails back and forth with Julianne. I was not sure of what I wanted and she was so helpful and created the most beautiful garter I could have imagined. She actually used leftover fabric from my bridesmaids dress to make sure it was the perfect match! And it was comfortable! I didn’t even know it was there all night.

    I love it! Thanks Julianne!

  • Cheap lace numbers with a super glued rosette weren’t quite my thing, so when I Googled “modern wedding garters” and found a yellow and gray garter from The Garter Girl, I was on it. Julianne responded to my order and returned all of my correspondence quickly. The garter came across the country to Washington State and I had it in my hands that same week. It was extremely well made and stayed put on my thigh for a good 6 hours until the garter toss. It was comfortable and gorgeous! It was perfect. And yes, I sure did keep it. My garter was one of my favorite details of the entire wedding. Thank you for putting a modern and fun twist on an otherwise mundane tradition.

  • I ordered my garter set at the last minute when I found out the set I had originally planned on would not arrive in time. I sent Julianne an email and she responded right away and had no problem rushing my order for me. The garters are absolutely beautiful and I am so excited to wear them. I am so glad I found her website, and I had such a hard time choosing between all of the lovely options. I cannot thank Julianne enough for working so hard to make sure I got them on time. She really saved the day.

    Thanks again! You’re amazing!

  • I was BEYOND ecstatic with the garter you made for my special day – I had my eye on it for over a year, and was so touched that you made it and sent it all the way across the globe (to Sydney, Australia), just for me. And my husband seemed to be equally as impressed!

  • I had Julianne create a custom garter for my wedding last April. She did an amazing job and was very patient with my indecisiveness! The garter was exactly what I had pictured and the service was excellent. Thanks again, Julianne!

  • This was a one of a kind piece that I had to have for my wedding! Julianne’s garters take traditional to a whole different level! I ordered three of her garters for my May 15, 2010 wedding! She worked with me to get the exact style and color that I was looking for, and when the finished products came I couldn’t have been happier! This is definitely a piece that you should add to your special day!

  • I had been browsing pictures and following The Garter Girl blog for a few months in to my wedding planning. The garter toss was something we knew we weren’t going to do, but I kept thinking I wanted one to surprise him with. I first emailed Julianne my idea and she said she’d never done anything like it, but would be willing to try and branch out. Our wedding colors were navy and butter yellow. And hubby is a huge Superman fan. Julianne proceeded to make the most incredible garter for not just me, but for us. Husband has had kept it in his car since the night we drove off from our reception! I feel so blessed that she took on my “project” and did it so wonderfully!! Go back and read the SUPER blogs and look at the pictures!

    Thanks!

  • Julianne was amazing to work with. I was getting married in November of 2010 and wanted to do a special something for my finacee so I thought about a custom garter. When inquiring with Julianne about her products she told me that she was going to be going on maternity leave soon so I’d have to hurry. Even after the time she was out on maternity leave she worked with me on what I wanted and made sure I got my garters. I was very happy with the product and extremely satisfied with the service she gave me. She was attentive and quick to reply as well as full of ideas and suggestions. She even sent me great photos of the garters. I loved working with Julianne and recommend her to everyone I know that’s looking for a garter. Thank you Julianne for helping to make my wedding day even more special.

  • Julianne worked with me to create exactly the garter I was looking for in my wedding colors. It turned out beautiful. I am also using it as my “something blue.” I was really happy I was able to customize it to what I was looking for and add our initials and wedding date as an extra touch. Julianne was very responsive and open to suggestions while we were planning the garter design. She emailed me several color samples and a draft of the final design before beginning. I was very happy with how it turned out, and I’m looking forward to wearing it at my July 2011 wedding! Thank you Julianne!

  • I’ve yet to be a bride and am currently single, but has been building a hope chest little by little for some time. When I saw the garters on this site, I knew this was the place to get mine. Then I came across the ivory and pink one and fell in love. I knew that was my garter and that needed to be in my hope chest. Julianne was such a pleasure to work with and with the amount remaining from my gift card, she was able to give me 1 more garter on sale at etsy so I can bless a wonderful young lady who is getting married in October of this year.

Julianne, thank you so much for getting me one step closer to my dream of being a stunning bride and thank you for helping me bless the sweet hearted October bride. You are a blessing.

  • Julianne made a custom garter for my September 2010 wedding in Estes Park, Colorado. It was ivory, red, and chocolate brown polka dots, and I loved it. It was comfortable, beautifully made, and Julianne was really easy to work with. She answered all my questions quickly and professionally (even though she was on maternity leave!), and I would definitely recommend her to my friends. The coordinating toss garter was a fun addition too.

Thank you, Julianne, for being wonderful at what you do–I feel lucky I found you!

  • Julianne made a custom garter for me for my wedding that happened only 3 weeks ago! I really wanted to wear something that would express my style, but also suprise my groom with one of his favorite things (the RED SOX!) without breaking away from the theme and colors of the wedding. She made that possible with the most adorable blue polkadot garter. I purchased a vintage Red Sox pin and had it shipped directly to Julianne. She added it to the garter she made and it turned out perfect. It was comfortable and stylish and made my groom smile! Thank you so much Julianne for adding such a special touch to my wedding day. I’ll be sending my sister (getting married October 2012) to you sometime soon!

  • I had Julianne make my garter with her recycled line from plastic bottles. I LOVED it!! It was comfy and came out beautiful. I got the green with light brown ribbon and ivory embroidery with our initials and a short saying. She fulfilled my wishes and thanks to her I was a happy bride and my single friend who caught the bouquet also kept the giveaway garter, she was stoked too! Very nice job. Very comfortable. Thank you Juli!

  • I had a garter made for my November 2010 wedding. It turned out so beautiful for my fall wedding. I bought both a tosser and one to keep. My colors were Red and Orange so Julianne made me this beautiful vintage looking garter that was mixed with Ivory,Red and Orange and a beautiful diamond crystal in the middle of it. I absolutely loved it. Her work is so different and very very beautiful. Thank you Julianne so much for making my wedding garter a memorable piece to my wedding!

  • I asked Julianne to fashion one of her custom garters for my big sister’s wedding last November and couldn’t have been more happy with the results. Not only was the garter GORGEOUS and tasteful (especially in comparison to others of its kind), the experience was professional and fool-proof. We received the garter in record time to give to our sister for her bridal shower, and she has said it was the best heart-filled and sentimental (and CHIC) present she could have asked for. I will absolutely be returning to Garter Girl for all future wedding gifts — and hope that my sisters will return the favor with a custom garter when I tie the knot!

  • A garter is part of everyone’s wedding and one of those things that is not exactly at the forefront of any brides planning but why not?? I found out about Julianne’s garters on brides.com and let’s just say it was love at first sight. Garter Girl is amazing at what she does!! She is willing to go above and beyond to help you find your perfect match. When I initially began the whole garter making process I had no clue as to how it worked or what I even wanted. I got the idea to make my husband a special Hokie garter since he is the biggest Virginia Tech fan I know  Julianne made two different garters for me to choose from because I was a little confused and overwhelmed with all of my options however that’s what makes this whole process so much fun!! The sky is your limit.

I love my garter so much and it was such a fun surprise for my husband Jeremy. Thanks Julianne for making my wedding day extra special, you are absolutely amazing at what you do. I have never seen such beautiful, fun, inventive garters and consider myself lucky to have found your garters prior to my wedding day. Thank you!!!

  • I purchased a garter from Julianne for my sister for her bridal shower. As her MOH, I wanted to give her something special and personal. The embroidery on the garter with my sister and her fiance’s initials and wedding date was the perfect touch. I loved that I could customize the garter in pretty much any way that I wanted.

    My sister loved it!

  • I first heard about Julianne, a.k.a. “Garter Girl,” through Daily Candy – DC and perused her site and saw all her cute garters. I was excited to finally get a garter for my own wedding and picked out a simple cream garter. Garter Girl instantly sent me a follow-up email thanking me for my purchase. She is amazing and does great work. I was happy with my garter and the cute bag that it came in – I definitely have my garter stored in the cute bag with the rest of my wedding keepsakes. Thank you thank you thank you, Julianne.

  • I became interested in The Garter Girl after wearing a scratchy and uncomfortable garter for a few hours at my bachelorette party. I’m pretty sure I first saw her garters in a Southern Weddings magazine spread and I was in love. Since I’m a bride on a budget, I was happy to see that she featured many gorgeous garters on sale in her Etsy shop.

I wasn’t sure about getting an additional tossing garter and she not only answered my questions about the tossing garter but also gave me two options at different price points. She was always quick to respond to my queries and very professional. I ended up getting just the garter (original listing here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/68047043/pretty-ivory-and-blue-wedding-garter) and I LOVE it. It is beautifully made and comfortable to wear. Her description was accurate and I feel so lucky to have snagged this “slightly imperfect” garter at a bargain price.

I highly recommend The Garter Girl and her garters are worth the splurge. Your leg will thank you.

  • I had a custom garter made for my August 2010 wedding. It turned out beautiful even being camo. I had a digital camo garter with a coral ribbon and bow. The camo was for my husband who is in the Army and coral was one of the wedding colors. Julianne was very nice to work with and was willing to get me anything I wanted. I received a lot of complements to those who saw the garter and my husband loved it. Thanks again Julianne!
